DAC Planning has been providing neighbourhood planning support on the production and progression of the Plan since 2019.
This project has included the review of draft policies and supporting text, as well as the production of draft chapters for the Regulation 14 draft Neighbourhood Plan. DAC Planning have worked closely with the Ingatestone and Fryerning Neighbourhood Plan Advisory Committee to understand their vision, aims and objectives for the Neighbourhood Plan, while also complying with National Planning Practice Guidance.
Following Regulation 14 consultation on the draft Neighbourhood Plan in September 2020, DAC Planning produced the Consultation Statement.
DAC Planning will continue to support the progression of the Ingatestone and Fryerning Neighbourhood Plan through to submission.
DAC Planning is supporting the production of the Feering Neighbourhood Plan. Initially, DAC Planning provided critical friend support during the review of the evidence base and proposed policy direction of the draft Plan. DAC Planning subsequently produced a report detailing gaps in the existing evidence base and an assessment of policies in the Draft Neighbourhood Plan.
The Draft Neighbourhood Plan is currently at Regulation 14 stage and DAC Planning will continue to assist the Feering Neighbourhood Plan Group as the Draft Plan progresses.
In January 2018 DAC Planning was commissioned by Coggeshall Parish Council to support the production of the Regulation 14 Consultation Draft Neighbourhood Plan. This project has included a review of policy matrices and ideas produced by the Steering Group, and drafting of planning policies for incorporation into the Neighbourhood Plan. DAC Planning has provided support and guidance to the Steering Group through a range of complex issues in order to inform the production of the Draft Neighbourhood Plan.
The Coggeshall Neighbourhood Plan was passed at referendum in May 2021 with 1507 votes in favour and 174 votes against. This represents the third Neighbourhood Plan to pass at referendum in Braintree District Council with the support of DAC Planning.
DAC Planning supported the production of the Cressing Parish Neighbourhood Plan from 2017 to 2019. Initially, DAC Planning produced a Baseline Scoping Report which has brought together existing sources of evidence, information and consultation findings, together with a project plan, in order to inform the production of the Draft Neighbourhood Plan. Subsequently, DAC Planning worked with the Steering Group to produce the draft Neighbourhood Plan.
The Cressing Neighbourhood Plan was passed at a referendum held on Thursday 6th February 2020 with 513 votes in favour and 30 against. The ‘made’ Neighbourhood Plan is available to view here.
In January 2018 DAC Planning was commissioned to produce the Regulation 14 Consultation Draft Bradwell with Pattiswick Parish Neighbourhood Plan. This project included an initial review of the existing evidence base, supporting documents, and draft policy direction produced by the Parish Council, before drafting the Neighbourhood Plan. DAC Planning worked closely with the Parish Council to fully understand their aims and aspirations in producing a Neighbourhood Plan, and ensure that the Plan could meet the desired outcomes of the Parish Council while also meeting the requirements of the Neighbourhood Plan Basic Conditions as set out in the Governments Planning Practice Guidance.
This project included the production of policies relating to protecting environmental features, establishing requirements for developer contributions, protecting village facilities and the historic environment, drainage and flood management, housing location and design, enhancing the local economy, and providing transport improvements within the Parish and the surrounding area. The Neighbourhood Plan includes an Action Plan to guide the Parish Council and other stakeholders in taking forward projects contained within the Plan.
DAC Planning also supported the Parish Council in working with Braintree District Council to ensure that the Neighbourhood Plan could progress efficiently and effectively towards Regulation 14 consultation alongside required SA/SEA screening.
The Bradwell with Pattiswick Parish Neighbourhood Plan was ‘made’ on 22nd July 2019 following a successful referendum.
