DownloadMany local authorities across the country are considering the inclusion of large scale allocations within Local Plans as an effective approach to delivering challenging local housing requirements and providing associated infrastructure. However, the complexity in planning for large scale developments can often lead to significant delays in the production of Local Plans, as well as delays to the consideration and determination of planning applications further down the line.
DAC Planning investigates the challenges faced by local authorities in seeking to deliver demanding housing and infrastructure requirements and considers how local authorities can overcome these challenges. This article is available to download here;
